Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs

My group of 8 had one of the worst experiences at Kaula Beach Club in Mykonos. We made a reservation months in advance and were even charged two months prior to our visit to “hold” our spot. When we arrived, they claimed they had no record of our booking. The staff was extremely rude and dismissive, only to later admit it was a mix-up on their end.

We had reserved the 4th and 5th row daybeds, but they placed us in the 2nd row, claiming those were the only ones available. We assumed they would not charge us for the daybeds closer to the water—until the bill came. At the end of the day, when we asked how much more we needed to spend to reach our minimum, they said €100 more. But when the bill arrived, we realized they charged us for the much more expensive 2nd-row beds we never booked—scamming us out of nearly €50 per person.

When we calmly brought this up, both the server and hostess raised their voices, laughed at us, and refused to call a manager. We left feeling scammed, disrespected, and humiliated.

Locals had warned us about this place, saying it was run by people who try to overcharge and take advantage of tourists—we wish we had listened. The view may be beautiful, but the staff is rude, dishonest, and unprofessional.

Save your money and go anywhere else—this place is not worth it.

Too expensive for this concept. This is very basic beach clubs compare to others in Mykonos. Better go Santanna next door

I visited Kalua with a group of 30 ladies for my daughter’s hen party. The day was absolutely fantastic and yes it’s overpriced but we did have an amazing day there, however and this is the big problem they added a 20 percent tip on my bill without my knowledge. I only realised this on returning home when my credit card bill arrived and I contacted them to question it. As you can imagine the bill for 30 ladies was very high anyway but then for them to add a further 20 percent was absolutely scandalous. I did not agree to this tip in any way and communication with them since has been terrible. I’m highly unlikely to get anything back but what was a fantastic day has now ended with a very negative experience. They are absolutely money money money mad and total fraudsters! Be very very wary, it’s sad as honestly the day was fabulous then on my return realised they had totally fleeced me!
