Principote

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Principote today while visiting Mykonos. Our driver Christos recommended it to us and it was incredible. If it was not for his recommendation, we would not have gone. The food was amazing and the drinks were great. The best part of the experience was the hospitality of the staff, the owner and the overall care that they showed to ensure that we had a nice time. We were greeted by the manager, Panon and our waitress Sofria. They escorted us to a beautiful beach bed and made sure that our every need was taken care of while we were there. We’re very thankful that we had the opportunity to visit this location and will definitely be back. I would recommend it to anyone traveling over here that is looking for one of the most luxurious beach clubs to spend their day at while in Mykonos.

I visited Principote Mykonos in July 2025 from Los Angeles, California, and my experience was extremely disappointing.

From the start, the hosts repeatedly asked me if I knew the price of their sunbeds, despite me telling them multiple times that I did. The tone was condescending, as if they assumed I couldn’t afford them. Once we agreed and paid their already overpriced rate, we were left standing in the middle of the beach under the hot sun for nearly 30 minutes before their host finally arrived to seat us.

The service throughout was slow and ineffective. The worst part came at the end, after paying the bill and leaving a tip, the host came back with the bill in hand, demanding more tip. The audacity was shocking and completely unprofessional.

As a final insult, their valet parking failed to honor the original price they quoted us, trying to charge more as we were leaving.

Overall, this place survives purely on its name and location, not on hospitality. If a business behaved like this in the United States, it would be in serious trouble. Save yourself the frustration and go to one of the beach clubs in the south of the island, where we consistently received better service, more respect, and much better value.

The most negative experience ever at an It club. Guests are sometimes kept waiting for several hours despite having a reservation. For us, it was almost one; finally, when we got in, the worst part wasn't the prices, but the extremely crappy music and the worst vibe at all. All the guests looked grim. Conversation was impossible. Once you take out the ladies who obviously run the place „for work“, there's not much left. We left without ordering; the place is a disgrace; you could spend €1,000 better for food at any club in the world.

Overall, the experience at Principote Mykonos was nice — the atmosphere, location, and setting were beautiful. However, our visit was unfortunately spoiled by the behavior of a waitress named Natalia. At the end of the meal, she asked for a 15% tip (around €60). We politely said we could give 10%, but she insisted in an unprofessional and impolite way, even mocking us by saying, “Ok, keep your money to pay your taxi.” This attitude was very disappointing for such an establishment.
