I enjoyed some exceptional seafood at this restaurant, while having a nice sea view and refreshing breeze. The lobster spaghetti and the grilled tiger prawns were delicious.

Our visit to Spilia on September 9th was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

Despite having a confirmed reservation at 3:00 PM, we were made to wait until 4:00 PM for our table after arriving from our boat. The hostess at the entrance showed a level of arrogance and disinterest that I have rarely experienced in hospitality — we were simply seated at the bar and ignored for nearly an hour.

Worse still, I had prepaid a €200 deposit, which was never deducted from the final bill. Even after raising the issue several times, I was promised multiple call-backs — none of which ever happened. Later, I even received an altered invoice that appears to have been changed to justify the missing €200.

This is simply unacceptable and feels dishonest. As someone who has often recommended Spilia to friends, I can say with certainty that I will never return and cannot recommend this place to anyone.

I never leave reviews, but this place really did leave me extremely disappointed. We had a 2pm reservation and wasn't seated until 4pm!

Me and my boyfriend booked a 2:00 reservation here months in advance of our trip, having seen countless recommendations on TikTok. We arrived on time and were told to wait at the bar area, where there were several other couples waiting. We waited and waited and when asking how much longer, we were consistently told '10 minutes', 'you're next in line', but other couples were still being sat before us - bare in mind, people were turning up and being sat straight away, which was even more frustrating! Why weren't they seated to wait and just being taken straight to their table?

We were eventually seated at 4pm, having waited 2 hours, in insane heat, we were hungry and thirsty and didn't want to spend £££ at the expensive bar waiting area. When seated, we were sat on our own at the back of the restaurant, no view, no atmosphere. I complained and asked for a better table, as I could see empty tables for 2 at the front bar overlooking the sea, we was told that wasn't possible as it's 'first come first serve', even though I had waited 2 hours and booked months in advance, PLUS I had made a note this was for a special occasion (birthday). Eventually we were seated where we wanted to be sat, with a lot of attitude from the staff in the meantime.

It is a beautiful restaurant in a stunning location, but the whole experience really wasn't what I thought it would be. The food was good, but truthfully for the experience it really wasn't great. You can find MUCH better places to eat and enjoy Mykonos. I'd avoid this place by all means. We didn't even get an apology or perhaps even a glass of water for the inconvenience - everything about this place was a disappointment, please save your time and don't go here.

It is iconic how bad it has become. It is iconic how loud and commercial it has become. It is iconic how they managed to ruin such a wonderful place.
The only thing worse than the loud obscenely loud techno music at 4 pm is the service.
The music is so loud that the waiters can’t even hear your order.
The food is ok but not outstanding enough to endure the torture of the loud music in an echo chamber.
I do not recommend going there.

I visited this place and unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disappointment. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt neglected and unwelcoming. The service was inattentive, slow, and at times even rude, which made the experience worse. The quality of what was offered was far below expectations—poorly executed, lacking freshness, and presented carelessly. Cleanliness was also questionable, which immediately raised concerns. Overall, there was nothing redeeming about the visit, and it felt like a waste of time and money. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place, as it simply fails on every basic level.
