An under-the-radar Greek isle in the Cyclades, Paros holds a special place in my heart. It has everything I need for a vacation: cozy beachfront taverns offering freshly caught seafood and fish, picturesque beaches like Paralia Beach and Santa Maria, and cute traditional villages with cobblestone alleys and whitewashed houses.
Easily reachable from Athens by plane, Paros is less crowded than the neighboring Greek islands of Santorini and Mykonos. On Paros, life is slow-paced. It is an island with more of an authentic Greek vibe. You will find a diverse selection of properties here, from luxury Paros villas to traditional Greek homes with warm hospitality.
Searching for a nice spot right on the beach where you can sip on cocktails, rent sunbeds, and enjoy tasty Mediterranean cuisine? Paros is home to many world-class beach clubs where you can spend the day. From trendy spots with a vibrant atmosphere and loud music to more quiet and secluded places for couples and honeymooners, here is my list of the best beach clubs in Paros.
Top 5 Paros Beach Clubs
1. Farangas Beach Club
You will find the Farangas Beach Club tucked away on the southern tip of Paros. If you are staying in Parikia, it will take you about 20 minutes by car to get to Farangas. Nestled in a tranquil bay, this elegant beach club is known for its gorgeous golden sand beach, lively atmosphere, and swift service. It is a popular destination for tourists who wish to escape the island’s windy beaches. There is only one restaurant here, serving food from 12 to 10 PM. You can order drinks at the on-site bar that works from 10 AM to 10 PM.
The food menu is extensive with plenty of fresh fish/seafood options and traditional Greek meat dishes. You can also order pizzas, sandwiches, and different salads. On the drinks menu, guests of the club will find everything from beers, wines, and cocktails to non-alcoholic beverages like freshly blended smoothies, coffee, and tea. The beach itself is lovely with golden sands and shallow waters, making it suitable for both adults and children. Keep in mind there are not a lot of villas and hotels around and most people come to Farangas to spend the day.
2. Cabana Beach Bar Restaurant
Located in the northern part of Parikia Bay, Cabana Beach Bar Restaurant is one of the newest additions to the beach club scene on the island. It is a fancy place with wonderful décor, plenty of facilities, and an excellent Greek restaurant where you can try everything from sandwiches, burgers, and salads to pizza, fish, Buddha bowls, and meat dishes. In addition to standard drink offerings (coffee, tea, juices, beer, and wine), a team of mixologists crafts delicious cocktails. The setting is nice with huge palm trees creating tropical vibes.
While the atmosphere in the morning is relaxing, the chilled vibe turns into a party in the afternoon with a DJ who plays records into the night. Special events are announced regularly on their social media pages. If you are visiting Cabana during the summer season, I definitely recommend booking your sun loungers beforehand. How to get to Cabana Beach Bar Restaurant? Hop on a small ferry that departs from Parikia every 30 minutes or take the public bus.
3. Santa Maria
Step outside of your Paros beach villa in the morning and spend a day on the gorgeous beach of Santa Maria. Located just a 10-minute drive from the picturesque village of Naoussa, this beautiful beach is home to the Santa Maria Beach Bar. With a selection of sunbeds and umbrellas, live DJ performances, a wide range of food and drinks, and plenty of water sports activities, it is one of the most lively beach bars in all of Paros. If you don’t mind the loud music and the vibrant atmosphere, Santa Maris is where you want to go.
The beach itself is spectacular with shallow waters and fine sands. Towards the afternoon, the music gets louder and the beach club transforms into a nightclub in the evenings. As for the on-site restaurant and bar, it offers pretty much everything you can think of. There are salads and healthy bows, as well as sandwiches, craft cocktails, wine, and beer. Make sure to try their champagne-based cocktails! If you are into watersports, rent a kayak or a SUP board from the Santa Maria Beach Bar. Looking for a place to stay? There are several luxury villas available around the area. To get here from Parikia, you will need to drive a car or get a taxi. If you are staying in Naoussa, you’ll be pleased to hear there is a daily bus service from Naoussa to Santa Maria.
4. Punda Coast
Welcome to Punda Coast in Paros, one of the oldest and largest beach clubs on the island. Located on the east coast close to the village of Marpissa, Punda Coast attracts young crowds and is known for its party vibes. Whether you wish to party by the large swimming pool or enjoy the calm waters of Logaras Beach, you won’t get bored at this large beach club. There are a few lounging areas with hammocks around the pool, as well as sun loungers and umbrellas directly on the beach.
The complex also boasts a cocktail bar and restaurant where guests can enjoy typical Greek delicacies like souvlaki and gyros, as well as pizza, sandwiches, and salads. As I mentioned before, this place is quite popular with the younger crowds and hosts some seriously awesome parties with international guest DJs. Sunbeds, cabanas, and hammocks will set you back 20 and 50 euros for the day. Punda Coast is located 30 minutes from both Parikia and Naousa. Take the local bus, hire a taxi, or drive your car to this legendary beach club in Paros.
5. Monastiri Beach Bar & Restaurant
With spectacular views of red rock formations, two separate bar areas, direct access to the beach, and a fabulous restaurant that offers a Mediterranean-inspired menu, the Monastiri Beach Bar & Restaurant in Paros is one of the finest beach clubs on this Greek island. You will find this beach bar in a small bay, just a 15-minute drive from Naoussa.
Rent loungers with cloud-like cushions and enjoy swimming or activities like stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking. If you’re traveling during the peak season in summer, make sure to book the sun loungers at least a day in advance. For craft cocktails and other beverages, go to the stylish bar. Once you get hungry, order beef shanks or try the signature sea bream carpaccio at the on-site restaurant.
What to Expect at Paros Beach Clubs
There is so much to look forward to when spending a day at one of the beach clubs in Paros. In terms of service, the staff is usually friendly and speaks good English. Most beach clubs in Paros have an on-site restaurant, which means that you don’t have to worry about staying hungry. Some beach clubs boast private swimming pools, while others offer water activities like stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking. If you are visiting these beach clubs in summer, I definitely recommend calling a few in advance and booking your sun loungers/umbrellas.
Best Time to Visit Paros Beach Clubs
As Paros is home to some of the most spectacular beaches in the Cyclades, the best time to visit Paros beach clubs is in summer. Although this is the peak season, the island won’t be nearly as crowded as the neighboring Cyclades islands of Santorini and Mykonos. You won’t find any giant cruise ships here.
There are many different things to do in Paros. If you wish to explore tourist attractions, visit in early autumn and late spring when it’s not that hot outside. If you are planning your visit in early autumn, from September to early October, you will still be able to swim as the water temperature is warm enough. Keep in mind that the worst time to visit Paros beach clubs is in winter. To be honest, most of them close their doors from November to March/April.
How to Get to the Best Beach Clubs in Paros
The best way to get to the best beach clubs in Paros is with a car or a scooter. Travelers can also take public buses. However, there are no direct bus lines to more remote beach clubs on the island. Calling a taxi service is also an option.
You can certainly take public buses, but a few of the clubs are further than the typical routes. If possible, renting a car or scooter is a great way to ensure you can make it to the more remote beach club locations. If you wish to rent a car, I suggest getting a smaller one, as parking can be very tight on the island. You can also get to the beach clubs in Paros by hopping on one of the water taxis in Naoussa and Parikia.
