The Hidden Gems of the Greek Islands

According to the latest figures from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Greece welcomed 36 million international visitors last year, with nearly half of travelers visiting the country’s islands like Mykonos, Rhodes, and Corfu. This highlights a huge appeal; however, with this popularity comes busy attractions and crowded streets.

When people think about the Greek islands, they might picture Rhodes’ ancient ruins or the famous whitewashed streets of Mykonos. However, beyond the well-known tourist hotspots, there’s a lot more to discover.

To help uncover these hidden gems, here at Kinglike Concierge, we’ve conducted an in-depth analysis to identify the top-rated things to do with the fewest reviews across six popular islands, revealing the most underrated things to do.

How we identified the hidden gems

To identify these hidden gems, we focused on six popular Greek islands:

  • Mykonos
  • Santorini
  • Corfu
  • Paros
  • Rhodes
  • Crete

For each island, we examined five key attraction categories on Tripadvisor and identified the top-rated but least reviewed thing to do within each location. These are:

  • Beaches
  • Restaurants
  • Sights & landmarks
  • Bars & clubs
  • Spas & wellness,

Only attractions with 50 to 1,000 reviews were included to ensure the results highlighted genuine hidden gems rather than widely known hotspots.
